Stranglehold - Xbox 360

A John woo Epic? Well I’ll put it through it’s Trials  It’s Based off a Movie called hard Boiled From the Early 90’s  The game is about John Woo a Cop that is trying to take down a Drug lord . Epic or Bomb?

Time to get Down to business

- Summary -  

This game Sounded amazing so i had to go get it and see for my self.  The game starts you Playing as Chow Yun Fat  as a Cop named Tequila At first the game just throws you in the action.  The game is fast and furious so much action going in and out.   The basic game is great Kewl Idea Basically a KunFu movie that everything is do-able From Riding on a Cart to Hiding and Shooting Doors down and signs to injury someone. And It Includes the much abused Bullet Time Effect to slow down time. One thing it does add that’s very Cool is a Tequila Meter When you get powered up enough you can unleash a Huge effect that Slaughters enemy’s By  Turning a shot gun in to a Super shotgun with unlimited Ammo.

- Game play -

The Game … Well story It’s Not that bad but More annoying then it’s worth it’s More like a Movie So you Come in and just blast 300 Asian people down. The game play to me was more arcade style… Kill off 8 guys 8 more come out of the doors … Finish those and 8 more come and so on. The bullet time made it a lot easier. The indestructible Items in world is pretty neat pretty much anything that’s placed in the world can be blown up or shot up. But why can’t People Not include bulle time?

 - Graphics -

The Game Looks sub par to a lot of the newer games out right now  I mean don’t get me wrong the game looks good. but It’s not as good as they showed in the trailers for it or the TV spots. The game Has it’s moments some stuff looks amazing Like the Museum level and The particle effects are top notch. But in some levels the Walls and textures look like something from a Xbox or PS2 Game. The bullet time Makes it Look really good but this effect is just played out.  The Animations aren’t to bad but almost all the bad guys Look exactly the same. they’re maybe 3-4 different models rest look the same. Come on it’s a Big Game could of maybe changed the texture colors on the cloths and maybe added eye patches?

Sound Not bad at all , Nice and crisp sound full Audio cut scene’s

 - Final Thoughts

This game can be easily Finished with in 7 hours no problem It’s So short the game looks alright but it’s a rental Don’t get me wrong but it’s to much like max Payne Bullet time and then the Family connection in the story and then the way it plays is so much like it.  It looks alright , sounds pretty good  It Includes a Multiplayer but it’s more like the Darkness’s Multi player then Anything else.  The game is a Rental hands down Save the 59.99$
