Assassin’s Creed - Xbox 360 Review

One of the biggest games of the end of the year. By ubisoft the same people behind prince of persia and splinter cell and the rainbow 6 franchise’s Let’s try this new franchise out and see how it stacks up.   Time to get dirty!

:: Basic Game ::

The Game starts you playing as a Kick ass Assassin Who doesn’t follow the orders of the Other assassins So you have to work your way back up the ranks fighting off the Templar’s. With A Great story   - With Out leaking Spoilers I won’t go in to it anymore.

:: Game Play & Combat  ::

This Game is like a cross between splinter cell and prince of persia. with a cross with a great epic story.  Thrown in to the mix is a combat system that is none like any other. It’s more about reversals and not just attacking your foe.  The combat in this game is sometimes very smooth it’s all about timing  You wait when they come in for the kill you counter and Attack with your own justice.  you can full out combat people but it’s a lot easier sometimes to defend your self especially when your outnumbered 30 : 1 

:: Graphics ::

The game looks amazing I mean down to the details. People’s faces Look very detailed the effects on the smoke and on wind is great like when you jump from a building you get the swish across the screen. The game is just pretty down right. one of the best looking games of the year.  All buildings are detailed and each have they’re own Look and style each city has it’s own look and design some look like slums and some look like rich area.

 :: Sound ::

 The sound in this game is perfect and designed perfectly. but sounds do get redundant and annoying at times.  Wind sounds from when your on the top of buildings and people below you talking and begging is perfect and makes you really feel like your in this world and your really this assassin.  when you hit people they respond and make comments to you.  when in the wrong place the guards will command you to leave. Almost Dead on perfect audio but a bit annoying. one of the best thing is to hit a guard or a target and hear everyone in town just panic and everyone yells at you.

 :: AI ::

The games AI sometimes is a little bit like a rubber band … You can be sneaking past people and all of a sudden your being attacked when your blending in just perfectly. And other times you can be picking fights and stealing from people and walk away and a guard sees and nothing happens. or your hidding in plain sight and he’s not attacking. but other times the AI is just great like people see you climbing buildings they will point you out to guards and make comments. beggers will throw rocks at you when you don’t hand over the cash.

 :: Final thoughts ::

This game is around a 10 - 15 hour game. one of thoese games that everyone should play just to enjoy it. gameplay is almost perfect but the rubberband effect of the ai really does hurt it. but the story is really great.  it’s a very neat game and can’t wait for the sequal a lot of people gave this game a bad review because of combat issues with counters. once you start playing and get used to it. it’s not that bad and pretty easy to fight off a big group of guys.  this game really does shine around it’s graphics and the look and style really does make you feel like your in the past.  I was like a lot of people and banked on everything. after spending the 60$ it’s a nice game and pretty fun but once you beat it thats it they’re really is no reply value what so ever and no MP so it kinda hurts it but for a rental it’s a must this game is really great but isnt worth the big price tag.  This game is a Rental and a Good one at that
