Sony just recently released the new Slimed and Lighter and a new and Brighter screen with new clear buttons and bundle with some Great hits! The other day i walked in to Toys r us and I Spotted the starwars Bunle with the Dark vader Decal with the game Battlefront Renegade Squadron. It’s my first PSP so time to review it!
Basics :
It’s nice and clean design with a great new and very bright screen and then the color is crystal white. the other bundle is a silver with a little sparkle. the buttons are pretty nice they’re transparent. The box it came with was pretty basic compaired to the Daxter bundle it doesnt’ come with antyhing fancy the PSP and renegade squadron nothing more and nothing less. The look and design isnt bad and the darkvader on the back really is kewl but it needed another decal on the other side! If you want to be apart of the darkside this is the psp for you! plus the game is a great game for a bonus a review of that is comming too.
Cost :
It’s around 199$ USD
Final thoughts :
I was really a big time DS fanboy for a long time then i got this PSP and it really changed i really like it it’s really fun. and the bundle is really neat. but it really does need more for the bang for the buck the game is nice but we’re is the headphones or the game case? or even a strap?

Second Take
*Jinx’s Take*
I’ll keep this mostly summerized, I can’t agree more with mill’s review. I have the first psp AND the redesigned slim psp Daxter bundle. I’m not wild about silver but it grew on it. What i do love is how much lighter the psp is now and how much more firm and ….TIGHT it feels.. That’s the best way I can describe, it just feels solid, durable and much more reliable in your hands. IT doesnt feel quite like an expensive heavy peice of equipment that you’re afriad to play. Some might say it feels cheaper, but i think the buttons are more responsive and clickier, the thumbstick definately has a little more movement now (I believe they made the hole under it a bit larger). I’m very happy with my new psp and it actually encourages more playing– feeling like a gaming machine in my hand. The screen is brighter and clearer, more contrasty than the last screen. Also the sound holes are now on the front, bad if you spit alot, but the sound is so much more clear when its directed at your face! and you dont have to crank the volume quite as loud!
Now my quick gripes… The shoulder buttons seem to be a little waggly from side to side, i didnt notice this so much on my original psp. This doesn’t hamper play in any way, just feels a bit odd like they are loose.. Also the UMD door now snaps open and closed… IT feels cheaper, BUT it closes all the way, and is much slimer with less rattling. My old psp, the door would close, but wasn’t completely flush, one corner would hang open a slight bit more than the other corner, cuz i think they only used single latch some where inside the door. Also, and lastly, i’m a bit dissapointed at sony’s QC controll, my first slim had a dead pixel or two, and this one had much dust under the plastic case on the screen, I opened it up (this voids your warranty so dont do it if you want to be warranted) and cleaned the screen, and in doing this, i made tiny hair line scratches all over my screen (or it might just be plastic face plate, its hrad to tell). You cant see them when its on, but you can when a light shines directly on it.. IT annoys me, But i love the system enough to not let it put me off too much. I wonder how much a replacement front will run me.. Probably too much. Regardless, I like the psp slim very much! My anal pickyness cant really make much of a dent in it. Also for me, i can see some of the back light shinning through the speaker holes and the button holes, its not really that distracting, but i would have thought they could have put something in there to keep that from being visable, you cant see any blacklight in the original psp. All that said my review on this piece of hardware is.
