Lego Starwars 2 - PSP - Review

Well, it’s been out for a while and i started watching the star wars movie so i had a urge to play it and thought what the hell let’s review it. Time to get Dirty with The Lego Universe

Basics:

You’re a Lego and you’re in the star wars universe playing through the classics from the movies. Playing as such people as Luke sky walker, Obi wan, princess laya , Vader , and R2D2 Pretty straight forward Your running around playing through the many classic levels from the movies such as the death star.

Game play:

Straight forward you shoot, you use your Light saber and Jedi powers and unlock and open paths. On the way you put on helmets from storm troopers to open up doors and gadgets. You can use at-at’s and flying missions well. Once levels are completed you can unlock more characters and then buy them using the Lego’s you have collected in the levels and then go back and play missions to unlock other rooms you couldn’t access before giving the game a lot more replay then just a fast run through the game.

Graphics:

The game surprising looks pretty damn good. It looks much like the PS2 version and the 360 version just a bit toned down but the thing looks great nice 3d animations and unlike the DS version this game does 3d pretty darn well. The game does have its issues such as major slow down when in a big area the game will pause for a second and then game play kicks back in. takes a bit out of the whole immersion of the game. You have tons of characters to choose from and they all look pretty good.

Sound:

The game sounds pretty good. You have the nice r2d2 sounds and Chewbacca doing his little grunts and each level sounds well like it’s xbox360 counterpart and the PS2 version. There is no dialog so not much to go off that.

Final thoughts:

I really enjoyed this game I’ve played it on my pc a while back and on the 360 again and now on the PSP the game is always fun to just get in and play and the price is really nice usually 19.99$ In the US a good deal since it’s got wireless place (Local) and a ton of play here with all the characters to unlock. It’s one of those games that everyone plays and it might be odd but it’s a pretty fun game except for the major slow down issues it’s a pretty solid title This game is a must own for any geeky star wars fan boy it’s fun and kind of corny but it’s fun and it’s cheap that’s the best part and now it’s been out for a while getting it used shouldn’t be too hard to come by.

8.5 / 10
